Digital accessibility is the principle of designing websites, posting on social media and formatting documents and presentations in a way that ensures that users with diverse abilities can access information equally.

It can be somewhat daunting to start with, as many designers may not have considered the user experience of someone who is visually-impaired, dyslexic, or colour-blind, for instance. Fortunately, there are excellent resources that can help you make your content acccessible for everyone.

This section shares guides, videos and websites that will help you educating yourself about accessibility, creating accessible content, and making that content readily available to all online users. Remember that under the Disability Act 2005, the University of Galway has a statutory obligation to support access to services and facilities for people with disabilities.
